Busan Asiad Main Stadium

Busan Asiad Main Stadium was a purpose built stadium for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the 2002 Asian Games. The stadium is located in Busan at the foot of the mountains. The stadium is an open air stadium that has a doom roof shelter covering the seats. Asiad  Stadium can seat up to 55,500 spectators and hold up to 80,000 spectators in total. The area in which the stadium is located is called Busan Sports Complex. This area began developing as a sports area in the early 80’s and now includes the Busan Asiad Stadium, Sajik Swimming Pool, Sajik Gymnasium, Sajik Baseball Stadium (home to the Lotte Giants) and many other facilities.

Busan Asiad Main Stadium is a multi purpose stadium and has been used for a wide range of events. The stadium is currently the home grounds for Busan I’Park football theme. Busan I’Park play in the K – League in Korea.

How to get to Busan Asiad Main Stadium:

Take line 3 to Sports Complex station and leave exit 9. Walk up the elevated platform outside the exit and that goes directly to the stadium.
