Gyeonggi-do Travel Guide
Gyeonggi-do is the most populated province in South Korea with a population of over 10 million. The province wraps around Seoul. The capital of Gyeonggi-do is Suwon which is located south of Seoul. To the north of Gyeonggi-do is the DMZ. The DMZ means the Demilitarised Zone and is the most heavily armed area in the world. The DMZ is a border area that separates North and South Korea and special tours to this area are very popular with tourists. Gyeonggi-do is quite large and packed with nature. Many people living in Seoul like to visit Gyeonggi-do at the weekends to go hiking, visit the National Parks, take in the stunning views of the lakes / valleys and enjoy the outdoors.
