It seems to me that Koreans are more aggressive in public and are more animated. Japanese on the other hand may seem colder than Koreans, but definitely aren’t as pushy when it comes to cramming into trains or walking on a crowded sidewalk. I know these are huge generalizations, but I thought it interesting to hear your take.
