Daegu is located in the southern part of South Korea. Daegu is a metropolitan city and the fourth largest city in Korea after Seoul, Incheon and Busan. Daegu has a population of over 2.5 million people. Daegu has become well known around the world as a host city for the 2002 World Cup and the IAAF World Championships in 2011.
