Gangseo Hangang Park

Gangseo Hangang Park is located south of the Hangang River on the west side. Gangseo Hangang Park is the most westerly park of the 12 Hangang Parks. The park is over 8.5 km long and has a theme of Ecological Wetlands and Recreational Sports Park. The park is made up of small inlet islands. The islands are abundant with wildlife and nature and are all connected together by wooden bridges. At Gangseo park you can visit the observation centres to learn about and observe the migratory birds of the Hangang River. Telescopes and binoculars are available to people who wish to observe the birds at a closer range. The park is at the edge of Seoul and is only a few minutes walk from the Gyeonggi-do and Incheon borders.

At the recreational side of the park, people can enjoy bike lanes which stretch for 4 kms. Also there is a running track, 3 basketball courts, 4 gate ball courts, a football field and one multi purpose sports area.

The park is open 24 hours a day.

How to get to Hangang Gangseo Park:

Take line 5 to Banghwa station and leave exit 1 or 2.  Take bus 6 and get off at Gangseo Wetlands Ecological Park
