CGV Cinema Hyehwa

CGV is the largest multiplex cinema chain in Korea. The first CGV cinema opened in April, 1996. Since then CGV have opened over 50 cinemas in Korea, India, China, Vietnam and the United States. In December 2005, CGV were the first cinema to introduce IMAX to Korea and in March 2009 showed Korea’s first 4D movie.

CGV are always thinking of new ideas to create the ultimate cinema experience. They have many different themes at their Cinemas from IMAX, 4D, VIP lounges to Cine De Chef. At Cine De Chef you can dine and drink while watching your movie.

How to get to CGV Cinema in Hyehwa:

Take line 4 to Hyehwa station and leave exit 1. Go straight for about 2 minutes and you will find it. It is in a very tall building. In front of the cinema you will see a very large statue of Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
